Getting here, and the small rituals of arrival.
A little preparation makes the off-grid part effortless. Here's how you'll get to the lake, what happens at check-in, and everything worth bringing.
Getting here
It’s a gravel road for the last stretch — fine for any car in dry months, just slow going. We email full directions when we confirm your booking, since GPS gets confused out here. Leave extra time and roll the windows down.
Check-in, 3pm
Meet us at the main cabin. You’ll get a paper map of the lake, a thermos, a one-page hot-tub guide, and the key. Check-out is 11am — no rush, but the next guests are already dreaming about your cabin.
Settle in
Stoke the firebox on the hot tub so it’s warm by evening. Haul the rowboat down to the water. Then do very little, on purpose, for as long as you can manage.
What to pack
Layers, closed shoes, a headlamp, and food for the whole stay — there's no shop nearby. Print the checklist, stick it on the fridge, and tick as you go.
